Saint Melin paints from a central idea: that there is a "space between" — the seen and unseen, the known and unknown, thought and its counterpart — from which all potentiality emerges, and that is the territory he tries to capture. He works intuitively, letting what is still formless rise to the surface, so each piece literally reflects how he felt at the moment of painting it.

His work pursues a spiritual transcendence tied to a deeply personal vision of the world, blending two traditions: the control, balance, and craft of the East with the spontaneity and directness of the West. The result is an angular, high-energy style where the subject carries an almost white-hot intensity, and color isn't always the central element.
